Portrait

This photograph was taken whilst walking nearby the beach in Tangier. Until this point during the week I not made any recordings of women in Tangier and I wanted to include more women in the project. Most people who I told about the project did not want to be photographed or did not want their face to be shown.

This scene interested me as a snapshot of everyday life in the city. I was happy to be able to record these two women talking whilst respecting their anonymity.

Local Market

I asked this women if I could photograph her whilst arranging bundles of parsley.

I like the way this photo captures the essence of the seaside, it could have been taken in Brighton or St Tropez!
